Call for Papers: Next Generation Rice Disease Research

Rice feeds over 2 billion people. In the face of climate change and global population increases, this essential food crop will encounter new challenges with environmental, pest and pathogen pressures. 2020 is the UN International Year of Plant Health, and this Special Issue aims to highlight research targeted at understanding biotic stress in rice in the face of a changing future with novel technologies at our fingertips.

Submitted papers can focus on the broad diversity of rice disease research with historical, new and re-emerging plant disease problems. Researchers are encouraged to submit original research, commentaries and reviews on broad plant disease biology, which includes resistance, disease and climate change, microbiome, host-microbe interactions, diagnostics and genome editing.

Interested authors may submit their manuscripts for consideration here. Submissions are requested by 30 September.
